How It All Started
I founded Vermont Gourmet Seed Company in 2019 after experiencing firsthand just how important health and resilience truly are. Following a life-threatening battle with encephalitis that left me bedridden and uncertain about the future, I began a personal journey toward healing. During that time, I discovered the incredible power of microgreens—tiny plants packed with concentrated nutrients that played a vital role in my recovery. That discovery inspired me to create Vermont Gourmet Seed Company so I could share the life-changing benefits of microgreens with others.
This business was born out of my own experience and a deep desire to make these powerful, nutritious foods accessible to everyone. I’ve focused on creating affordable and simple ways for families, schools, and communities to grow and enjoy microgreens at home as well as commercial spaces. From growing on a shoestring budget to developing specialized seed mixes, every step of this journey has been fueled by my passion for health and wellness. Today, Vermont Gourmet Seed Company continues to grow with that same spirit, offering products that help people live healthier, more vibrant lives—one seed at a time.
